The past two days have been terrible.

You can't blame me. When something or rather somebody you've been anticipating about for such a long time(the past one year) with such high expectations... comes to nothing, to naught, it just feels, terrible.

Admittedly, I shouldnt have held such high hopes in the first place. But I've already told myself this, don't mull over it. It's not the first time you've faced such disappointments anyway. What's this compared to ...? Move along.
